One of our favourite resorts on the shores of Inle Lake, even though the views from the luxurious chalets can only be charitably described as ‘partial’. However, don’t let this put you off – this is a great place to stay, as these chalets are elegant, spaciously split-level (a spiral staircase leads up to your mezzanine level deck – the ideal spot to read a book or simply relax after a day on the lake), bright and elegantly furnished and are well-spaced amongst the resort’s truly delightful gardens, which spreads over a landscaped hillside that gently slopes into the lake.

There is one villa suite the Inle Lotus Suite which is the ultimate in hillside accommodation, boasting 150sq meters with stunning views of the lake.

The Padonma Balinese Spa, which was recently renovated and features naturally heated water from a local hot spring, with jacuzzis set into the natural rock surround. There is also a sauna and steam room.

In the evening the restaurant is lit up beautifully enjoy your meal in the main restaurant, or on the terrace overlooking the spa.
