Very close to the famous Botanical Gardens is the colonial-styled Kandawgyi Hill Resort. The original house was built in 1918, although there have been several additional buildings added to the property out the back over recent years.

Rooms are split between the main house and separate bungalows, in either instance are cozy and clean. The pick of the rooms are certainly in the original building, with the two suites at the front commanding the highest price due to the views.

The hotel creates a homely atmosphere due to its small size and the terrace, opposite Kandawgyi Lake, is a nice place to sit and enjoy a cup of tea and watch the world go by.
