Combining wildlife, trekking, religion and culture, this 2 night adventure provides a range of exciting and thought-provoking experiences that culminates in a beautifully balanced trip from Kalaw to Inle Lake. On your first day, transfer by car to the starting point of your trek. Set off on foot from here to Kone Hla village, passing through a number of traditional villages on the way. Admire the fabulous views as you pass through fields dotted with local farmers harvesting, planting or tending to their crops. After a morning of gentle trekking stop for lunch before heading towards Htee Tein for your overnight stay in a local monastery. This is a unique opportunity to spend the evening in a village and enjoy some traditional food and learn about local cultures in a more remote area.
The following day, set off after breakfast to continue your trek towards Inle Lake. For 4 hours you will walk through villages, over rolling hills and finally enjoy beautiful views of Inle Lake in the distance. Along the way visit Pa-O, Dani, Taung Yoe and Inthar Tribes. Spend time in the villages as you rest along the way. In the afternoon you will reach the jetty for a boat ride across the lake to Sagar, an area only recently opened up to tourists. Upon arrival in Sagar you will be warmly welcomed and can spend time exploring this interesting lakeside village.
