The main sights include you will visit include the colourful Chinese temple built by Yunnanese immigrants, the Purcell tower built in 1936 to commemorate the 25th year of the rule of King George V and the Central Market, where you can enjoy first-hand experience of local life.
Next stop is the church of the Immaculate Conception constructed in 1906, before sinally headfiong to the Botanical Gardens.
A little further outside the town is the Mahar Anhtoo Kan Tha Pagoda. Your guide will fill you in on the interesting history of this pagoda which originally was never planned to be built here. There is also a nearby waterfall which is worth a look if you have time.
